World Time Machine
To open the Time Machine you can:
- Right-click on a desktop clock and click on Time Machine
- Right-click on the Notify Icon
and click on Time Machine - Click on the Time Machine Icon in the Control Center Tool Strip
- Click on Time Machine from the Tools command in the Control Center
Once the Time Machine is open you can start your time travel. The Time Machine is useful for instance if you want to find out when it is best to ring someone in another part of the world.
Say you live in the US and want to ring someone in Australia when it is 9:15 in the morning. Provided you have already created a clock for both locations, you would just “travel” into the future until the time on the Australian clock shows 9:15 A.M. and check the time on your local clock.
This feature is even more useful if you have to arrange a conference call across several time zones.
To start your time travel you can:
- Scroll the time wheel in the center of the window
- Click the <<<Past or the Future>>> button
- Jump to a date or time by changing the values in the date or time field
As you are traveling, you can see all clocks changing their time. If the Control Center is open you can also observe the night shadow travel, if the box Continuously update day/night map is ticked, although it can take a few seconds to update the map. You can also manually update the map by clicking on the Update Map Now button.
When you close the Time Machine or push the Back to present time button, all clocks will show again the correct current time.
