Installation and first use
World Time Manager is shareware and can be downloaded from here. To install the program simply run the installation file.
Just follow the prompts to finish the installation. In case Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is not installed on your computer, the program will automatically download and install the required updates from Microsoft. This can take a while, but needs to be done only once. All future updates are only a matter of minutes. Or in case of database updates even seconds.
Once the installation is finished and it does not start automatically the first time, you need to run it from the Windows Start menu under Utech Computer Solutions.
The first time the program runs, it will ask you to confirm your time zone. This is an important step that will assure the program can work out all other time zones properly. It also provides a means to add time zone to the Windows database in case you live in an area where there is no correct time zone information in your system or where time zone rulings have changed.
If you enter the wrong information here or if you move into a different area, you can change these settings from within the program later on.
After you close this window, the program will start and the Control Center will open for the first time.
